Under the banner of the Wichita Recovery Hub, a group of about 30 people, the majority in recovery themselves, come together one Sunday a month to serve lunch in Riverside Park. The group, which includes residents of three sober living homes called Connections House, provide and serve a meal and a healthy dose of care and hope to somewhere between 100 & 200 people who are homeless or otherwise in need of a meal and place to be known.
Friends of Friends partners with churches and other groups, like the Wichita Recovery Hub, to provide a meal every Sunday, rain, shine, sleet, or snow.
An important step in the recovery process is giving back. WRH will continue to provide ways for members to give back and be a beacon of light in the lives of those who need it.
