Wichita Recovery Hub’s Black and White Silent Disco Fundraiser a Stunning Success

Wichita, KS – September 15, 2024— The Black and White Silent Disco fundraiser, presented by ICM, took place last Friday at the Kansas Aviation Museum. The event was a huge success, raising over $25,000. It brought the community together for a stylish celebration and to provide impactful support.

The event, which embraced a chic black-and-white theme, drew a diverse crowd of enthusiastic attendees who dressed in elegant monochrome attire, adding a touch of sophistication to the evening. The venue was transformed into a visually striking space with sleek décor that complemented the event’s theme.

The night's highlight was the innovative silent disco experience, where participants wore state-of-the-art headphones and chose from multiple music channels. With a DJ offering a range of genres from country to classic to contemporary, attendees enjoyed a personalized dance experience while maintaining a noise-free atmosphere that encouraged conversation and social interaction.

The event's success was further underscored by a special presentation from Vice Mayor Maggie Ballard, who awarded the Wichita Recovery Hub a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of its significant contribution to the community.

In addition to the silent disco, guests enjoyed an array of interactive features, including a photo booth with themed props, a unique silent auction, and a selection of gourmet mocktails and appetizers—the event successfully combined high-energy entertainment with a relaxed atmosphere, creating an engaging environment for all.

The Wichita Recovery Hub’s fundraiser exceeded expectations. All proceeds directly support the Hub’s initiative to open a new location with expanded programming and services. The community’s generous contributions will help provide essential resources and support for individuals on their path to recovery.
